I'm about to FALL...

Give me minor keys, spooky vowels, slow passages and fun lyrics! Fall Warms Ups are THE BEST!

Okay, it's cheesy, but, I have to be honest: Fall is my FAVORITE time for warm ups in the Choir classroom.

The drinks and desserts aren't bad either.

But, the MUSIC is where it's at!

Give me minor keys, spooky vowels, slow passages - and fun lyrics! It's a delicious combination that my singers LOVE, which makes it even better!

I thought I'd share the warm ups I'm doing in Choir this month. Here we go....

Ghost of John. Classic. Sing it in a canon. Add an ostinato. Play a dynamics game. (Learn more HERE.)

Many Mumbling Mice. Work on diction, steady beat, tempo.

Canoe Song. Canon, minor feel, slow.

Hey Ho, Nobody's Home. Partner it with Ah, Poor Bird. Lovely. My students always love this one!

Haida. Add crazy movement. Speed it up. Sing it in a canon. It's a good time!

(All of these songs are easily available with a google search. If you've never heard them, give them a listen. I think you'll find some new ones you can use!)

My newest fall song: Flavors on the Menu. In d minor, sing it in a canon. Add partner song #1 and #2 for more texture. Melodic line plus octave jumps. Grab it HERE!

If you'd like ALL of these songs already done for you in slides and accompaniment, grab that Fall Warm Up Set!

(The Fall Warm Up Set includes Flavors on the Menu's main slide, but not all the separate one-per-partner-song slides.)

Add some spooky slides and oohs! (Seriously, an "ooh" on Do Re Me Re Do is awesome.)

I hope you make some amazing music with your choir! Have fun!
